Boogie Chillun

Boogie Chillun’ is a six-piece, diverse, multi-cultural and multi-talented musical group that is well versed in all styles of music. The band was formed in 1991 by band leaders Vaughn Collins and Derek Graham in New Haven, Connecticut. The band has performed in many venues and schools throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts and the tri-state area. Some concert venues include Toad’s Place, The Palace Theatre and the New Haven Green, sharing the stage with War and Ziggy Marley. They can be found locally at Christopher Martin’s, Humphrey’s, Café Nine, and J. P. Dempsey’s where the group has been a crowd favorite for over 17 years. Whether playing at weddings, festivals, school assembly programs or private parties, Boogie Chillun’ will entertain and educate fans and listeners of all ages.

“I wanted to drop you a note to let you know what a fabulous time we had today at Johnson School with Boogie Chillun’. They had our kids entertained from start to finish. The kids could not sit still and at the end they all started shouting encore encore and clapping. I have been organizing assemblies for our elementary school for 7 years now and I have never seen such an enthusiastic reaction from the kids (and teachers!) One boy came up to me at the end to ask if they could come back next Monday. This is a must see performance!”
Thanks, Michele Zanchelli Johnson School PTO Cultural chairperson.
